On October 4, during a working trip to Cao Bang province, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission visited and presented gifts to officers, soldiers and people in the border area of Truong Ha commune.
The working delegation included comrades: Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Quan Minh Cuong - Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee; Le Hai Hoa - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lieutenant General Nguyen Anh Tuan - Political Commissar of the Border Guard.
At the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Cao Van Thanh - Head of the Soc Giang Border Guard Station, said that the unit is managing 20.2 km of the border with 55 international markers, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the border area.
In the first 9 months of 2025, the station has fought and handled many cases of smuggling and illegal entry and exit, while effectively implementing social security models, adopting and supporting students in the program "Studying children to school - adopted children of the Border Guard station".
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia acknowledged and praised the spirit of solidarity and efforts of the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Cao Bang province in socio-economic development, strengthening national defense and security at the border.
He emphasized that Cao Bang has had many positive changes in developing the border gate economy, tourism, sustainable agriculture and building a strong grassroots political system.
Propose that the province continue to effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, bringing policies and resolutions into life.
For the Cao Bang Border Guard, he requested to thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoint on national defense and security tasks, continue to build a solid "national border defense posture", closely attached to the people, helping people develop the economy and sustainably reduce poverty.

On the same afternoon, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia and the working delegation offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Temple in the special national relic site of Pac Bo.
