At the announcement ceremony of the National Assembly's Resolution on the merger of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city on the morning of June 30, representatives of the leaders of the communes, wards and special zones of the city, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Tam Ky Ward Nguyen Thi Thu Lan said that she always recognized that the upcoming operation of the two-level local government will certainly have many challenges.
In particular, there are unprecedented issues, so the requirements are higher in terms of work quality, attitude, sense of responsibility, thinking, and vision of grassroots cadres.
Party Secretary and Chairwoman of Tam Ky Ward People's Council Nguyen Thi Thu Lan emphasized that the current operation of the commune-ward government apparatus will not only be an administrative decentralization but also a transfer of trust, responsibility, and mission to serve the people.

"We promise the central and city leaders to overcome difficulties, make the highest efforts and determination to successfully carry out all political tasks set out in the coming time.
Thereby, strive to realize the aspiration to turn Da Nang into a strong growth pole of the country, building and developing in a modern, smart and livable direction" - Party Secretary, Chairwoman of Tam Ky Ward People's Council Nguyen Thi Thu Lan said.
Speaking at the ceremony, Da Nang City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang said that after 28 years of temporary separation for development, Quang Nam and Da Nang have returned to being a unified administrative unit, Da Nang City under the Central Government with a new stature, position and aspiration.
Mr. Nguyen Van Quang affirmed that the merger is not simply a combination of geography, population or budget, but an opportunity to promote the combined strength, arouse aspirations, and turn Da Nang into a major socio-economic center, a new growth pole of the country.
