On the morning of September 8, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics organized the opening ceremony of the 2026-2027 academic year. Politburo member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu attended and spoke.
Also attending were Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan; representatives of relevant agencies.
More than 2,800 students were admitted to the advanced political theory system for the 2026 - 2027 course; 60 students from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party who are studying at the Academy also attended.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu requested the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to thoroughly grasp and concretize the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress into programs and action plans, ensuring clear people, clear tasks, clear progress, and clear results.
All training, scientific research, advisory, policy consulting, and international cooperation activities must show the stature, bravery, intelligence, and identity of the highest-ranking political theory school of the Party.
Along with that, promote theoretical research closely linked to practical summaries. Effectively implement special national-level science and technology programs for the period 2026 - 2030, focusing on perfecting and developing the theory of the Party's renovation guidelines in the new era.
Promoting the role of the standing agency, proactively coordinating the implementation of projects to serve the summary of 100 years of the Party leading the Vietnamese revolution (1930 - 2030) and 40 years of implementing the Platform for building the country in the transitional period to socialism; early preparing scientific arguments and theoretical materials to serve the development of the Document of the 15th Party Congress.
Emphasizing the requirement for fundamental and comprehensive innovation in training and fostering cadres - identified as the central task of the school year, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat requested the Academy to thoroughly grasp and concretize the thinking and philosophy of innovating training and fostering work in the period 2026 - 2035, with a vision to 2045; innovate content, programs, and ensure quality according to competency standards, titles and job positions.
According to the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat, each lecture, each topic must be built, aiming to improve the qualities and political bravery, theoretical thinking capacity, and practical organizational skills. Organize classes according to the motto "taking self-study as the foundation", strengthen dialogue, interaction, and criticism; apply artificial intelligence responsibly and verified. The application of modern technology must go hand in hand with improving independent thinking, academic integrity, responsibility, the consciousness of teachers and learners, and core human values.
The Standing Committee of the Secretariat requested the trainees to uphold the spirit of self-awareness, proactiveness, and creativity; actively participate in the process of "co-creating new knowledge and values"; boldly exchange, debate, and ask questions, including difficult questions. Theoretical knowledge only truly becomes their own when it has gone through their own thoughts and experiences.
Students are exemplary in strictly complying with discipline and academic order; cultivating political qualities, ethics, lifestyle, thinking, methods, and working style; regularly self-examining and self-correcting; well implementing the motto "learning goes hand in hand with practice", proactively turning the training process into self-training, closely linking theory with practical work.
