On the morning of April 25, at the National Assembly's house, the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Mobilization Committee in collaboration with the Party Central Office, the National Assembly Office, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Union of Vietnam Literature and Arts Associations held a 50 -year National Conference on Literature and Art of Vietnam after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia attended and gave a speech directing the conference.
Members of the Party Central Committee: Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh and Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh co-chaired the conference.

At the conference, the presentations focused on affirming the achievements and results of Vietnamese literature and art 50 years after the reunification of the country; propose and propose guidelines and policies to develop literature and art of the country in the new period.

The presentations emphasized that over the past half century, Vietnamese literature and art have developed in the context of the country's innovation and international integration; joining the country, accompanying the nation in the transformation process, creating a voice, strength, encouragement and prediction for development.
That context has deeply impacted the creative practice of artists; promoted Vietnamese literature and art to gradually approach the progressive trends of world literature and art, go deeper into modernization, and achieve very valuable initial results.
The conference agreed that our country is entering a new era, an era of national growth, with intertwined opportunities and challenges. Through their works and through their works, the artists are the ones who cultivate the seeds of beauty, compassion and kindness; preserve and promote the tradition of patriotism, national pride, trust and aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.
