In the afternoon of April 18, the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Mobilization Committee in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, National Political Publishing House of Truth Organized the National Scientific Conference "50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 2025)
The workshop was attended and chaired by Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia and leaders of agencies and units.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Duy Bac - Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - affirmed that literature and art have always played a special role in the historical dynasties of the nation. Literature and art are not only a voice but also a sharp weapon on the cultural and ideological front, an extremely important spiritual strength in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
After the national reunification day, the whole country is on the path of socialism, Vietnamese literature and art have entered a new stage. The creative period in peace, building the country.
Literature and art continue to be a sacred bridge, connecting millions of Vietnamese people, whether living in their homeland or across five continents, to summarize into a solid great unity bloc.
It is from the works of literature and art that touch people's hearts that they have added confidence, strongly aroused the desire to develop the country, nurtured a deep love for their homeland and the will to rise up for a prosperous and powerful Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Bac emphasized that 50 years after the country's reunification, Vietnamese literature and art have continuously grown, affirming their role as a special spiritual resource, accompanying the nation in the cause of national construction and development.
"Facing the new requirements of the era and new era in the development of the country, Vietnamese literature and arts should continue to be steadfast and strategic investment.
