According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Ukraina Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man is the first senior leader of Vietnam to visit Armenia since the two countries established diplomatic relations and the visit is very important, not only opening a new page for parliamentary cooperation but also creating momentum to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields, for the development benefits of the people of the two countries.
Sharing his admiration and good impression of the beauty, dynamic and sustainable development of Vietnam as well as the warm feelings at the meeting of former Vietnamese students who lived and studied in Armenia during his official visit to Vietnam in 2019, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed that Vietnam is always in my heart and for Armenia, Vietnam has always been an important partner in Southeast Asia.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his honor to visit the beautiful country of Armenia, rich in historical and cultural traditions; and believed that the visit would open a new phase for bilateral cooperation for the benefit of prosperous development of the two peoples.
The two leaders discussed in depth major orientations and specific measures to promote the development of bilateral relations in the coming time, including agreeing to continue promoting the exchange of high-level and all-level delegations, including business channels to effectively implement existing mechanisms and cooperation agreements, deepening and substantially the relationship between the two countries.
Emphasizing the economy and trade is an important pillar in the relationship between the two countries, the two leaders agreed that the potential of cooperation between the two countries is still very large, whereby the two sides need to further promote stronger economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, creating favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to learn about each other's market, especially for agricultural, irrigation and seafood of Vietnam into the Armenia market; pay attention to Armenia's export products such as wine, processed food and metal ...; promote cooperation in new areas such as science and technology, innovation, digital conversion, artificial intelligence (AI), green conversion ...; actively implement the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Asia -Europe Economic Union (EAEU) in order to create strong and breakthrough changes in bilateral economic and trade cooperation; create favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to exchange, learn about investment opportunities, establish cooperation and market penetration.
Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that Armenia discuss with member states of the ASEAN-EU to effectively exploit the free trade agreement with Vietnam, remove technical barriers to facilitate goods from both sides to access each other's markets.
Emphasizing the importance of transportation, education, culture and human exchange, local connection, the two leaders agreed to enhance the connection of traffic and multimodal transport to promote tourism and import and export between the two countries and other countries in Asia and Europe; continue to exchange and agree on scholarships for students to exchange between the two countries, strengthen cooperation in human resource training in the field of high technology; continue to organize regular cultural exchange activities; At the same time, it is required that the relevant agencies of the two parties consider the visa incentive policies to facilitate citizens and businesses of the two countries to travel smoothly, learn about culture, experience each other's destinations and implement cooperation plans and projects.
