On the morning of January 21, at the 14th Party Congress, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee clarified more strategic solutions to ensure double-digit economic growth in the period 2026-2030.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, the Central Policy and Strategy Committee expressed high agreement with the draft documents submitted to the Congress, especially the country's development goals, including the economic growth target of over 10%.
The need for high and sustainable growth at double digits in the coming period is very urgent, and it cannot be delayed to complete the country's strategic development goals to 2030 and 2045," Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized.
Regarding the practical basis for economic growth of 10% or more in the coming period, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan said that, on the foundation of the nation's building and aspiration to transform and rise up, Vietnam has sufficient conditions, potential, space and confidence to achieve this goal.
The overall efficiency of the economy is still low, if it is improved, exploiting potentials and strengths best, overcoming bottlenecks, and unlocking resources, it will create breakthrough growth," Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan stated.
In addition, economic sectors all show that there is still much room for growth. Many new resources and driving forces for growth have not been exploited and strongly promoted.
From the above situation, the Central Policy and Strategy Committee proposed a number of strategic solutions to promote double-digit economic growth in the coming period.
First, it is necessary to ensure macroeconomic stability, increase the resilience of the economy, ensure strategic autonomy, and create a foundation for rapid and sustainable national economic growth both in the short and long term.
Strongly promote and innovate traditional growth drivers, while creating and effectively exploiting new growth drivers.
Second, continue to accelerate the restructuring of the economy, promote industrialization and modernization, take science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as the main driving force; develop data economy, digital economy, green economy, and circular economy.
Promote the role of economic sectors, especially the private economic sector, improve the efficiency of the State's economy, and develop an effective and sustainable collective economy.
Third, more effectively exploit international markets, diversify markets, and promote the development of the domestic market to truly become a sustainable driving force for growth.
Fourth, mobilize and effectively use resources, especially capital sources to serve high growth from all three channels: public investment, domestic private investment and foreign direct investment. Promote private investment and develop diverse capital markets to mobilize medium and long-term capital for the economy.
Encourage venture capital funds and financial technology companies to unlock capital flows for small and medium-sized enterprises and startups; strengthen selective foreign investment attraction, prioritizing high technology and energy saving.
Fifth, promote breakthroughs in economic institutions, human resources, science and technology, innovation and infrastructure as a solid foundation for rapid and sustainable growth.
The above solutions must be implemented synchronously but with focus and key points; focus on handling the bottlenecks and bottlenecks of growth well, and at the same time stimulate and strongly promote points that create spreading growth momentum for the economy," emphasized the Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee.
