Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man warmly welcomed President Min Aung Hlaing and the high-level Myanmar delegation on their first official visit to Vietnam, congratulating the achievements that the Government and people of Myanmar have achieved in recent years and since the new government was established.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Assembly Chairwoman affirmed that Vietnam values the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation partnership between Vietnam and Myanmar, and wishes for a peaceful, stable and developing Myanmar; believing that Myanmar under the leadership of President Min Aung Hlaing will achieve greater achievements in building the country and developing foreign relations.
The President of Myanmar thanked the National Assembly Chairman for taking the time to receive the delegation and best wishes for the country and people of Myanmar; announced the results of the talks with General Secretary and President To Lam.
The President of Myanmar affirmed that he always values and maintains the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam, thanked Vietnam for its support for Myanmar in the past time; and wished to continue to receive Vietnam's support in the process of Myanmar building and developing the country in the coming time.
The Speaker of the National Assembly and the President of Myanmar shared about the role of the two legislative bodies in the political system and the development process of each country, saying that the Vietnamese National Assembly is focusing highly on perfecting the legal system, deciding strategic issues on socio-economic development; focusing on strengthening supreme supervision and improving the effectiveness of parliamentary diplomacy. The two leaders agreed that parliamentary diplomacy plays an important role in the relations between the two countries.

The President of Myanmar expressed his desire for the two sides to coordinate more closely, accompanying the Governments of the two countries to realize the signed cooperation agreements, for the practical benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace and common prosperity in the region.
Exchanging views on the direction of cooperation in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairwoman requested the two countries to continue to implement a number of priority areas, including consolidating political trust through delegation exchanges, high-level and all-level contacts, promoting the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, focusing on promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation through strengthening business connections between the two countries. The National Assembly Chairwoman requested the Government of Myanmar to pay attention to solving and removing difficulties for Vietnamese businesses investing and doing business in Myanmar.
Regarding cooperation between the two National Assemblies, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the President of Myanmar agreed to strengthen delegation exchanges, exchanges, and experience sharing; agreed to promote the effective implementation of the Cooperation Agreement signed between the National Assemblies of the two countries and further promote the role of the legislative body.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that Vietnam always supports Myanmar's participation in multilateral parliamentary forums such as the Parliamentary Union Council of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (AIPA); and at the same time strengthens coordination of positions on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The President also conveyed the words of the Speaker of the Myanmar House of Representatives inviting National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to visit Myanmar in the near future to exchange views on directions for cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries.
