On July 9, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense - chaired a meeting with agencies and units to deploy defense foreign affairs activities on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Speaking at the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien said that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense had sent a letter of invitation to the Defense Ministries of 8 countries (Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan) to attend the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, and invited 5 countries (Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Belarus) to send forces to participate in the parade at the ceremony.

According to the report, up to now, Cuba has responded to the invitation, saying that the Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces will attend the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 in Hanoi. Laos and Cambodia also said they supported the policy of sending forces to participate in the parade at the ceremony at the invitation of the Vietnamese side.
The invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to send forces to participate in the parade at the ceremony is an activity demonstrating the traditional friendship, solidarity and attachment between the people and the Vietnamese Army and traditional friends, while affirming the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, friendship and trust with all countries of Vietnam.
