The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 173/KH-UBND signed by Mr. Tran Sy Thanh - Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee on the plan to organize a ceremony, parade, and martyrs' parade on the occasion of National Day September 2, 2025 - the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
According to the plan, Hanoi will organize 5 high-altitude fireworks display locations to celebrate this important event.
The celebration aims to affirm the stature and great historical significance of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam - now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in the journey to fight to build and defend the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The event aims to foster the trust of the entire Party and people in the leadership role of the Party; arouse patriotism, self-reliance, and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
At the same time, the celebration is also an opportunity to educate revolutionary ideals, arouse the tradition of "Remembering the source when drinking water"; express deep gratitude for generations that have sacrificed for independence, freedom, and national unity; honor the strength of national solidarity and the spirit of international solidarity.
The parade will take place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025, at Ba Dinh Square and some central streets of the capital (according to the Ministry of National Defense's Project). The expected number of participants is about 30,000 people (excluding parades and parades).
The Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays in the 2023-2025 period directs the organization of events. Hanoi City is the host unit, coordinating with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and related agencies.
The plan also clearly states the preliminary approval, general approval schedule and assigns specific tasks to units. The Hanoi press agency will proactively promote the event on columns, media platforms, and social networks.
