On September 10, within the framework of his official visit to Mongolia, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Mongolian Prime Minister and Chairman of the Mongolian People's Party Nyam Osor Uchral in the capital Ulaanbaatar.
At the meeting, the two leaders agreed to continue to consolidate political trust, maintain regular high-level and high-level meetings in many flexible forms; continue to strengthen and expand diplomatic, defense and security cooperation; promote substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation, thereby creating a breakthrough in economic, trade and investment cooperation, including promoting the early organization of the 20th Meeting of the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee to unify new solutions to strengthen bilateral cooperation; strive to soon achieve the goal of increasing trade turnover to 200 million USD; promote cooperation in science and technology, tourism, digital transformation, renewable energy, and green energy.

Assessing that economic and trade cooperation between the two countries still has great development potential, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man proposed that Mongolia create conditions to increase imports of Vietnamese agricultural products; promote the early completion and new signing of the Agreement on Encouragement and Protection of Investment, promote research, development and improvement of general policies and legal frameworks on investment in potential fields between the two countries;
Encourage businesses of the two countries to invest in industrial parks, joint ventures to invest in warehouse infrastructure, build logistics centers and promptly exchange information to remove difficulties in transportation and logistics; ensure a favorable legal basis, sustainable development cooperation for investors and businesses of both sides.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly is ready to remove institutions and barriers to promote economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Mongolia.
Highly agreeing with the proposals of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Prime Minister Nyam Osor Uchral said that the two sides need to make more efforts to bring economic and trade cooperation relations to develop commensurate with the political relations and potential of each country; promote expanding tourism cooperation, maintaining regular direct flights connecting the two countries in the context that many Mongolians want to travel to Vietnam; welcome Vietnamese investors interested in surveying and investing in business in Mongolia; encourage Vietnamese businesses to cooperate with Mongolian businesses to produce agricultural exports.
Prime Minister Nyam Osor Uchral pledged to create all favorable conditions to support Vietnamese businesses to participate in renewable energy projects; propose to study and promote negotiations on a three-way transport mechanism between Vietnam - Mongolia - China to promote effective and substantive cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics.
