Within the framework of the State visit to Singapore, at noon on May 29, General Secretary and President To Lam and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong witnessed the ceremony of handing over and announcing cooperation documents between ministries, branches, and localities of Vietnam - Singapore.
Cooperation documents include: Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the Singapore Public Service Development Agency; Joint Statement between the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Minister in charge of Energy, Science and Technology of Singapore on strengthening supply chain resilience;
Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam and the Supreme People's Court of Singapore; Document on the Reference Clause for Vietnam - Singapore agricultural and food trade cooperation; Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Advanced Production Research Center between Becamex Group and A*Star;
Awarding Investment Certificates to VSIP Hue, VSIP Nghe An, VSIP Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City; Memorandum of Understanding on educational cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and Nanyang Technological University; Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the People's Action Party of Singapore.
Vietnam and Singapore are two countries with very dynamic, substantive and effective friendly and cooperative relations in Southeast Asia.
Over half a century of development, the relationship between the two countries has been constantly strengthened, expanded and increasingly deepened, becoming a successful cooperation model in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The most prominent bright spot in Vietnam - Singapore relations is economic, trade and investment cooperation. Singapore is currently one of Vietnam's top important economic partners, and also the second largest investor in Vietnam.
Singapore's projects span many fields such as processing industry, manufacturing, infrastructure, logistics, real estate, finance, high technology and modern services, actively contributing to economic growth, job creation and promoting economic restructuring of Vietnam. A typical symbol of success in bilateral cooperation is the Vietnam - Singapore industrial park system (VSIP).
