Within the framework of the state visit to North Korea and attending the 80th anniversary of the founding of the North Korean Labor Party (October 10, 1945 - October 10, 2025) of General Secretary To Lam and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, on the afternoon of October 10, local time, the signing ceremony of bilateral cooperation documents between Vietnam and North Korea took place in the capital Pyongyang.
According to VNA, the cooperation documents include:
Cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea;
Protocol between the Ministry of National Defense of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Ministry of National Defense of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on defense cooperation;
Cooperation agreement between Vietnam News Agency and the Central News Agency of the Republic of Korea;
Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in health care and medical science between the Ministry of Health of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Health of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea;
Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry and the North Korean Democratic People's Democratic Republic of Korea Chamber of Commerce.
With a long-standing foundation of traditional friendship along with the will and desire for continuous cooperation between the two countries, in recent years, the Vietnam - North Korean relationship has continued to develop stably and firmly, achieving some encouraging and outstanding achievements.
The two sides have signed a number of bilateral cooperation agreements in the fields of culture, health, civil aviation, judicial cooperation, investment incentives and protection, two-time tax avoidance, etc.; maintained a number of dialogue and cooperation mechanisms such as the Deputy Foreign Minister's Political Consultation, the Intergovernmental Committee on economic - trade, scientific - technical cooperation on the basis of suitability with the needs of each country as well as international regulations.
Exchange activities between people's organizations are maintained and expanded, thereby helping people of the two countries, especially the younger generation, better understand the traditional relationship and good friendship between the two Parties, the State and the people of the two countries.
