At the invitation of WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, attended the 55th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland and held bilateral meetings in Switzerland on January 21 and 22, 2025.
The conference focuses on five priorities and solutions according to separate but closely related topics, including reshaping growth, industries in the smart era, investing in human resources, protecting the planet and rebuilding trust.

This is an important opportunity for the international community and large enterprises to directly discuss with the Prime Minister and leaders of ministries, sectors, localities and enterprises about development orientations, priorities and opportunities that Vietnam can bring to businesses in the current period of profound global transformation. The Prime Minister will convey important messages about Vietnam's determination, aspirations and vision towards strategic development goals in the next 20 years.
With in-depth exchanges at the Conference attended by more than 3,000 leaders of countries, international organizations and the world's leading corporations, we also promptly grasp the development trends of the times, the flows that are shaping the smart era, thereby building mechanisms, policies and measures to take advantage of opportunities and minimize negative impacts from new trends.
The Prime Minister will also chair many discussions on practical topics related to the current requirements of national development, especially the implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
The Prime Minister's working trip will open up many cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and the world's leading countries and corporations in key areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), investment in innovation, high technology, AI application in smart manufacturing, development of an international financial center in Ho Chi Minh City, application of AI and new technologies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, etc.
The Prime Minister’s visit to the WEF Davos Conference is a multilateral foreign activity that opens a very exciting year of multilateral foreign affairs for Vietnam. This is the second consecutive year that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has attended WEF Davos and the fourth time attending WEF Conferences as Prime Minister. The fact that WEF has continuously invited the Prime Minister to attend WEF Global Conferences shows the increasing role, position and international prestige of Vietnam.

Previously, on January 19, the Prime Minister and his wife attended the Xuan Que Huong 2025 program and wished the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic a Happy New Year. The Prime Minister also visited the Vietnamese community at the Sapa Trade Center in Prague; worked with the Vietnam Innovation Network and Vietnamese experts in Europe.
