On January 30, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the completion of the draft revised Law on Belief and Religion.
After listening to the opinions of ministries and sectors attending the meeting, concluding the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and highly appreciated the opinions expressed by the delegates, enthusiastic, responsible, and close to reality.
Government leaders welcomed the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs for developing the draft Law in accordance with the order and procedures of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents, proactively carrying out in parallel the development of policy documents and draft Law documents, and organizing opinions by workshop, in writing and posting on the Electronic Information Portal of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs, on the National Legal Portal (Ministry of Justice).
The development of the draft Law on Belief and Religion (amended) is necessary. The policies are built in accordance with the Party's viewpoints and policies on ensuring the right to freedom of belief of citizens.
Promoting traditions and the strength of national unity; innovating working methods applying digital technology, digital transformation; improving the operational efficiency of the political system.

Basically agreeing with the opinions of ministries and sectors, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that this amendment has 4 policies on: Establishing the principles and responsibilities of agencies, organizations, and individuals when carrying out religious and belief activities in cyberspace; decentralization and hierarchy in the field of religious and belief; supplementing state management measures in the field of religious and belief; simplifying administrative procedures and digital transformation in the field of religious and belief.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Affairs to conduct a comprehensive review, taking full responsibility for the accuracy of the reviewed contents, ensuring completeness, clarity, no omissions and feasibility.
Fully absorb the comments at the meeting, clearly state the contents of inheritance, omitted contents, clearly state the reasons, and complete the Policy Report of the Law on Belief and Religion (amended) to submit to the Government.
