The leader of My Tu Commune Police said that the unit had received information about the incident on July 25 and was investigating and verifying the relationship between the woman and the boy to propose a handling direction.
On July 25, a clip was circulated on social media recording a boy being assaulted by a woman. In the clip, this person continuously cursed, slapped the child in the face, and hit the child in the head with a stick, leaving the victim crying and begging. The incident was reported by local people, with someone outside shouting "let's go, why waste it like that". A moment later, the woman stopped. According to the posted information, the incident occurred in My Tu commune, Can Tho city.
