On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2025, this afternoon (January 22), President Luong Cuong visited and wished a happy new year to officers and soldiers of the Guard Command.
Also attending was General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security.
At the meeting, President Luong Cuong pointed out that the People's Public Security Guard force was honored to be founded, educated and trained by the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, and has a glorious tradition of more than 70 years of building, fighting and growing.
Under the direct leadership of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security; the support of the people and the coordination of all levels, sectors, units and localities, especially the great efforts and determination of officers and soldiers, the Guard force has always excellently completed all assigned tasks, worthy of being an important, trustworthy and absolutely loyal armed force of the Party, State and people.
Emphasizing the tasks in the coming time, President Luong Cuong requested to focus efforts and strive to build a People's Public Security Guard force by 2025 that is truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation in the spirit of Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
Thoroughly grasping the motto and viewpoint of "building people as the center, modern first, combined with modern means, logistics, and techniques to ensure synchronization and suitability"; focusing on training, fostering and coaching to build high-quality human resources to meet the requirements and tasks in the process of integration and development of the country.
The President also emphasized the need for the Guard force to proactively grasp, analyze, and closely forecast the situation, identify and comprehensively assess the risks that threaten and cause insecurity and loss of safety for the guarded objects as required. The unit focuses on implementing effective preventive solutions, eliminating early and remotely all risks to the guarding work, and must absolutely protect the safety of the guarded objects under any circumstances, resolutely not to be passive or surprised in any situation, and not to make even the smallest mistakes. At the same time, actively research, apply, receive, and transfer scientific and technological results and products to serve the guarding work.
Along with that, the President noted the need to continue reviewing, researching, supplementing and perfecting the law on security work and building the Security Force, ensuring systematicity, synchronization, high legal effectiveness, creating a solid legal corridor, facilitating the Security Force to perform its duties, enforce the law, and apply appropriate working measures to absolutely protect the safety of Party and State leaders and the security target in the new situation.
At the same time, the unit focused on advising on the implementation of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Guards and detailed regulations and implementation instructions. The Guard Force is a special force, must have special regimes and policies, must continue to improve the quality of human resources, equip and supplement advanced and modern means and techniques to best meet the requirements and tasks.
On this occasion, the President presented Tet gifts to encourage officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security Guard force.
