On July 10, at the Presidential Palace, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong met intimately with a delegation of cadres of the National Outstanding Education Promotion Association.
Also attending the meeting were members of the Party Central Committee: Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan; Head of the Office of the President Le Khanh Hai; Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son. Also attending the meeting were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education; representatives of leaders of central departments and ministries.

Reporting at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan - former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education - said that in recent times, the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education has contributed to advising on the development of policies, guidelines and results of implementing tasks assigned by the Party and the State; deploying all levels of the association to effectively implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State on the work of promoting learning, promoting talents, and building a learning society.
As of December 31, 2024, the whole country has nearly 27 million members with preferential education. The models: Learning families, learning families, learning communities, learning units and citizen learning in localities are all strongly promoted and achieved many positive results.

Speaking at the meeting, President Luong Cuong emphasized nearly 30 years of construction and growth, with activities and initiatives with their own unique identity, through movements to promote learning, encourage talents, build a learning society, and actively contribute to the development of the country based on knowledge and creativity.
The Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Education also did a good job of advising and consulting the Party and State, making the activity of promoting learning, encouraging talents, and building a learning society an important task of the entire political system.
The President emphasized that over the past 80 years, since gaining power (August 1945), our Party, State and beloved Uncle Ho have always attached special importance to improving people's knowledge, training human resources, and fostering talents - Education and training are "the top national policy", a consistent and consistent policy in the cause of building and developing the country. In which, beloved Uncle Ho is a great example of the spirit of relentless learning, a typical symbol of extensive knowledge.

The President pointed out that our country is facing a historic turning point, to enter a new era - an era of strong, prosperous and happy development of the nation, there is a lot of work to do, in which building the country into a country towards lifelong learning for each citizen is a very important task, a noble goal, requiring the efforts and outstanding efforts of the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army and the team of people working to promote education and promote talents of the whole country.
In particular, implementing research and application of four Resolutions of the Politburo - "four pillars" for the country to develop in the new era in accordance with the functions and tasks of promoting learning associated with digital transformation and national green transformation.

The President suggested that central departments, ministries, branches and localities continue to pay attention to leadership and direction, and need to clearly recognize that building a learning society and promoting lifelong learning is not only the task of the Education Promotion Associations at all levels but also the task of the entire political system, the Party committees at all levels, local authorities and the entire people.
Emphasizing the need to build Vietnam into a learning country, in which every citizen has the opportunity to study and be encouraged to study for life not only as a humanistic goal, but also an important requirement to improve national competitiveness, develop talent and strengthen national strength, the President believes that with enthusiasm and courage, cadres promoting learning will continue to maintain the flame of knowledge in the community, contributing to building a dynamic and aspirational learning society, as a foundation for a rapid, sustainable and prosperous Vietnam.
