On February 17, the People's Council of Quang Tri province confirmed that on February 20, the 29th Session of the 8th Provincial People's Council will be held.
At this session, many important contents will be considered and commented on, including the project on reorganizing specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Quang Tri province. Accordingly, 16 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee will be reorganized into 11 agencies according to the central government's orientation. In which, the following units are merged: Department of Finance and Department of Planning and Investment; Department of Transport and Department of Construction; Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and at the same time take on the task of poverty reduction currently assigned to the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Department of Science and Technology and Department of Information and Communications; Department of Home Affairs and Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs. Establish the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions on the basis that the Ethnic Minorities Committee receives additional functions, tasks, and organizes the state management apparatus of religion from the Department of Home Affairs.
Also according to the project, 7 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee will be reorganized in the form of adjusting functions and tasks under the Department of Education and Training, Department of Health, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; transferring some functions and tasks of some specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee to the Provincial Police for management...
The Provincial People's Council meeting will also consider a resolution regulating support policies for cadres and civil servants implementing policies prescribed in Decree No. 177/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 of the Government regulating regimes and policies for cases of non-rehabilitation, reappointment and cadres quitting or retiring at will in Quang Tri province.
Another resolution that many people are interested in is also considered in the above session, which is a regulation on support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and part-time workers at the commune level in implementing the organizational arrangement in Quang Tri province.
It is known that after the People's Council of Quang Tri province meets and reviews the above resolutions, the People's Councils of districts, towns and cities in this province will also hold a meeting.
For example, the People's Committee of Cam Lo district has now approved the plan to arrange and assign civil servants to agencies after the organizational arrangement; the personnel who are leaders of agencies after the arrangement have also been approved.
The People's Committee of Cam Lo district has also submitted a document on the merger, establishment, and reorganization of a number of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Cam Lo district to the District People's Council.
