Speaking at the first working session, Vice Chairwoman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Congress Steering Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh emphasized: The 4th Congress in 2024 takes place at a time when the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Yen Bai province are joining hands and unanimously overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3, preparing for the National Great Unity Day.
This is an event of important political and social significance for the Party Committee, government, people of all ethnic groups in the province as well as the ethnic minority community.
With the theme: "Ethnic groups of Yen Bai province unite, innovate, create, join hands to build Yen Bai province, develop in a green, harmonious, unique and happy direction", the Congress continues to affirm the attention of the Party and State to ethnic minority and mountainous areas, recognize the great contributions of ethnic minorities in the area in the process of socio-economic development, building, defending the Fatherland and international integration; encourage and promote the strength of great national unity, patriotism, national self-reliance, and uphold the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in Yen Bai province.
At the first working session, delegates discussed and clarified a number of contents such as: Promoting the role of the Provincial Farmers' Association in building and improving the quality of OCOP products associated with the movement of farmers competing in production and good business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty in Yen Bai province; Maintaining security and order in ethnic minority areas; Developing community tourism associated with national cultural identity; Solutions to improve the quality of health care for people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; Enhancing the role of the Youth Union in supporting union members and youth in ethnic minority areas to start and establish businesses.
Tomorrow morning (November 14), the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Yen Bai Province - 2024 will officially open its solemn session with the participation of 220 official delegates representing nearly 500,000 ethnic minorities of Yen Bai province.
