Faced with the heavy damage caused by storms No. 12 and 13 and historic floods to localities in the Central and Central Highlands regions, Agribank has immediately issued documents directing branches to implement support solutions for customers who suffered losses in terms of people, property, materials, crops, livestock, and production and business establishments in the provinces and cities directly affected (including: Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong).
Accordingly, for existing outstanding loans (including VND and USD) as of November 19, 2025 (excluding loans applying other interest rate incentives at Agribank), based on the level of customer damage, Agribank will adjust the lending interest rate down from 0.5% to 2%/year, no interest payment period is collected, and at the same time adjust the overdue interest rate to 100% of the lending interest rate for the 3-month term, from November 19, 2025 to February 18, 2026.
For new loans arising from November 19 to December 31, 2025 (excluding loans applied to other preferential interest rate programs at Agribank), Agribank reduces lending interest rates by 0.5%/year compared to the interest rate applied at the time of disbursement, applicable for a maximum period of 6 months from the date of disbursement.
Along with the policy of reducing lending interest rates, Agribank also implements many other supporting solutions such as: new lending, lending to remove difficulties, restructuring debt repayment terms, exempting interest and fee reductions, and debt suspension according to the provisions of law and Agribank.
Previously, in early October 2025, Agribank also implemented a policy of reducing lending interest rates by up to 2%/year to support customers affected and damaged by storms No. 10, No. 11 and floods after storms, helping customers restore production and business activities and stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
Promoting the role of the State Bank of Vietnam and the tradition of "Banking for the Community", in recent times, Agribank has organized working groups to directly visit localities heavily affected by storms and floods to grasp the damage situation, direct the implementation of solutions to support customers to borrow capital and provide social security funds to support local governments and people.
Right in the flood, Agribank donated 11 billion VND to provide emergency support to the South Central and Central Highlands provinces with more resources to overcome the severe consequences of natural disasters. From the beginning of 2025 to now, Agribank has spent more than 80 billion VND to support the recovery of the consequences of natural disasters and floods out of a total of more than 500 billion VND spent on social security activities nationwide.
