BIDV cooperates to create an effective and solid bridge to support import-export enterprises

The Trade Defense Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and BIDV signed a cooperation agreement on supporting import-export enterprises in global trade.

The event marked an important step forward in the cooperation between the two units; at the same time, creating an effective bridge between state management agencies, credit institutions and businesses, thereby contributing to building a sustainable trade ecosystem, helping Vietnamese import-export businesses proactively respond to trade defense incidents globally.

According to statistics, there have been more than 290 cases of foreign- initiated trade defense investigations of Vietnamese export goods, mainly from the United States, the EU, India, Australia and Canada. Therefore, this cooperation will help businesses access information early, minimize damage and shift from being passive to being proactive in responding to commercial defense incidents.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Doan Viet Nam - Deputy General Director of BIDV - affirmed: "As the leading commercial bank in Vietnam, BIDV is proud to accompany Vietnamese enterprises to expand the global market. Through this cooperation, we will provide a comprehensive financial solution package, helping businesses save costs and enhance competitiveness in international trade".

BIDV is a pioneer bank providing products and services for trade finance and international payments; implementing many preferential programs on prices and service fees to effectively support import-export enterprises. BIDV also maintains a comprehensive portfolio of trade finance products, suitable for the diverse needs of both export and import customers. At the same time, BIDV actively cooperates with prestigious units in the logistics industry such as seaports and warehouse management companies to provide integrated solutions and new utilities for businesses, contributing to promoting the development of international trade activities.

Meanwhile, the Trade Defense Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) plays a central role in ensuring a fair competitive environment and sustainable development for the Vietnamese import-export business community in the context of increasingly deep international economic integration. With the function of advising, investigating and handling trade defense cases, the Trade Defense Department has proactively protected the legitimate rights and interests of domestic enterprises, while effectively supporting Vietnamese enterprises in responding to trade defense measures from abroad, contributing significantly to improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods, expanding export market share and promoting deep integration into the global value chain.

With the goal of comprehensive, long-term, and sustainable cooperation on the basis of promoting the strengths of each side, BIDV and the Trade Defense Department will promote the implementation of practical cooperation programs, build optimal financial solution packages, deploy training, consulting and early warning programs, help businesses proactively grasp global trade policy trends, thereby building appropriate market strategies, creating a solid "commercial shield" for import-export enterprises.

BIDV and the Trade Defense Department will actively accompany Vietnamese import-export enterprises to turn challenges into opportunities, together towards a prosperous and sustainable future.
