The International Conference on Innovation and Sustainable Finance in Beijing (China) gathered many Asia-Pacific financial institutions, including BIDV.

On October 23-24, 2025, an international conference was held in Beijing with the theme "Driving Change: Lessons from Breakthroughs in Innovative and Sustainable Finance in the People's Republic of China" (Promoting transformation: Lessons from breakthroughs in innovation and sustainability finance in China) with the participation of representatives of state management agencies, financial institutions and experts from countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).

The workshop was organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in coordination with the Grand National Ministry of Finance of Luxembourg, within the framework of the Technical Assistance Program "TA 6687-PRC: Supporting Sustainable Finance and Regional Cooperation" chaired by ADB. The program aims to promote experience exchange, model sharing and enhance regional cooperation in the fields of innovative, green and sustainable finance. The discussion sessions at the Workshop focused on a number of key topics such as: Developing the green bond and carbon credit market; perfecting the green classification framework and ESG standards; applying digital finance and disaster risk management; enhancing the role of the private sector in mobilizing capital for sustainable projects.

Sharing information at the Workshop, BIDV representative - Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong - said: "Realizing the role of green growth in sustainable development, right from the time of developing the Business Strategy for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, BIDV has identified "creating sustainable value" as a guiding principle throughout all activities. Understanding the difficulties of businesses in accessing green capital, BIDV pioneers in implementing many practical support solutions, accompanying businesses in green transformation. The bank proactively develops preferential credit programs for renewable energy projects, energy saving and green growth. At the same time, with its reputation and strong financial capacity, BIDV expands cooperation with international organizations to finance green projects and sustainable development projects, continuing to affirm its pioneering position on the journey to realize the vision of " Large Bank - Strong - Green".

The opinions of delegates attending the Workshop also focused on emphasizing the importance of building an innovative, transparent and sustainable financial ecosystem; at the same time, demonstrating a commitment to continue regional cooperation to mobilize private capital for projects to respond to climate change, energy transition and green development.
