According to the plan, the central goal of Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) is to ensure electricity for the entire city, while prioritizing locations for cultural, sports, festival activities and key points such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi City People's Committee, cultural and sports agencies, authorities at all levels and mass media agencies.
EVNHANOI forecasts that the load during this time will reach a Pmax of about 5,230 MW, with the highest daily electricity consumption of about 100,000 MWh/day. On that basis, the Corporation has proactively calculated operating methods, prepared power sources and grids to meet electricity demand, and at the same time ensure backup power supply capacity for important loads.
One of the important requirements of the plan is not to suspend or reduce power supply according to plan on the power grid from 0:00 on August 29 to 24:00 on September 2, 2026, as well as during the general review and organization of commemorative activities. Particularly important locations are required to be supplied with electricity from two grid sources or have backup generators. EVNHANOI also organizes forces to be on duty and handle abnormalities, repair electricity 24/24 at locations organizing welcoming activities throughout the holidays.

To ensure safe operation of the power system, EVNHANOI requests units to comprehensively inspect transformer substations, 110 kV lines and especially pay attention to power supply lines for key points. Deficiencies that may affect operation must be promptly overcome.

For Power Companies, the plan requires comprehensive inspection of power lines and transformer stations; strengthening duty and patrolling of transformer stations, cable lines and important power supply lines. Units must also prepare sufficient equipment, spare materials, generators and mobile components along with power supply cables, ready to deploy when necessary.
Along with that, the inspection of the power grid safety corridor is strengthened on power supply lines for key stations; handling remaining shortcomings, preparing backup power supply plans for areas with only one high-voltage incoming source. Fire and explosion prevention at key stations is also focused on, ensuring vehicles and readiness conditions for response.
EVNHANOI also strengthens propaganda and recommends that people not set off fireworks with metal glitter strings near power lines and transformer stations to prevent the risk of affecting the safety of the power system.
With a plan prepared early, clearly assigning responsibilities to each unit and each key position, along with on-duty forces, supplies and backup power sources fully prepared, EVNHANOI is ready to ensure safe and stable power supply to serve the National Day of September 2nd, contributing to the smooth and safe organization of political and cultural events and entertainment and activities of the Capital's people.
