According to a report by Soc Son Power Company, from 3:00 PM on August 24, 2026 to 6:00 AM on August 25, 2026, the water level of the Cau River rose, affecting some areas of Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes.
To ensure safety, the unit has proactively separated some low-voltage power supply areas affected, with a total of 193 customers temporarily stopping power supply to ensure safety for people. The affected areas include Do Tan, Hoa Binh, An Lac belonging to Trung Gia commune and Luong Phuc belonging to Da Phuc commune.

Up to now, no incidents have been recorded on the medium-voltage grid, no broken or heavily damaged power poles or transformer stations. On the night of August 24, the Company's Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue and on-duty forces were present at the scene, organizing inspections and patrols by boat on deeply flooded roads and deploying to handle arising problems. Workers are equipped with life jackets, proactively checking the safety of the power system in affected areas.
Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) also closely coordinates with functional forces, and continuously updates storm and flood developments to ensure safe and stable power supply for key areas such as hospitals, drainage pumping stations, etc. In addition, to prevent risks during the rainy and storm season, EVNHANOI recommends that people raise awareness of safe electricity use and proactively prevent electrical accidents during the rainy and storm season.

In conditions of heavy rain and flooding, people should absolutely not touch electrical equipment, sockets, switches when their hands are wet or when their houses are flooded; when water is at risk of overflowing into the house, promptly cut off the switchboard to avoid the risk of electrical contact; do not walk or wade through water in areas with broken power lines, tilted power poles or waterlogged electrical equipment; do not arbitrarily turn off power again when the area is still flooded or has not been inspected for safety by the electricity unit.
EVNHANOI will continue to closely monitor weather developments, be ready with plans to restore power supply as soon as conditions permit and ensure safety. People are advised to proactively follow official information of EVNHANOI and the switchboard 1900 1288 to update on the situation.
In conditions of heavy rain and flooding, proactively preventing risks of electrical unsafety is a practical measure to protect people's lives and property, and at the same time support the power force to focus on handling and restoring safe, fast and effective power supply.
