Synchronizing technical measures, strictly managing production operations
In order to proactively respond to harsh weather conditions, especially during the Northeast wind season lasting from the end of September to April every year, the Director of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant has just issued a document directing all affiliated units to urgently deploy measures to strengthen environmental protection, maintain safe and efficient operation and strictly comply with regulations.
All units in the Factory have strengthened propaganda and dissemination to raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, workers and laborers in performing environmental protection tasks. Tighten operational discipline, proactively control and promptly handle risks of arising incidents.
The factory requires maintaining stable operation and strictly controlling wastewater, wastewater, and cooling water treatment systems; continuing to maintain continuous automatic environmental monitoring equipment, ensuring technical parameters in accordance with prescribed frequency.
At the same time, areas at risk of dust spread such as coal ports, coal warehouses, ash dumps, etc. are closely monitored, forces are deployed to regularly spray fog, keep moisture, cover and clean up to minimize dust spread to the surrounding environment.
Coordinate with communities, workshops, and enhance environmental responsibility
At the Fuel Workshop, inspection, maintenance and cleaning of port areas, conveyor belts, and coal warehouses are strengthened. The unit proactively deploys technical solutions such as closing the coal warehouse gate, operating a wall and windproofing system, covering plastic nets on unused coal surfaces and proposing to install additional surveillance cameras to visibly monitor high-risk areas.
The Operation workshop is assigned to strengthen supervision of the area of ash mines, slag dumps, and grinder; regularly operate the system of dustying, watering to keep moisture and require vehicles transporting ash to cover and spray the wheels to avoid splashing ashes onto the road.
Along with that, the Chemical Workshop focuses on strictly controlling the quality of input coal and output wastewater, regularly cleaning the area containing chemicals, ensuring absolute safety for workers and the surrounding environment.
Regarding the Department of Engineering and Safety, the factory assigned research and integration of meteorological and environmental monitoring parameters to promptly warn of the risk of dust spread, and at the same time deploy the replacement of wind-breaking steel grids, inspection and repair of dust-prone guns to ensure effective and continuous operation.
The Department of Administration and Labor is also required to promote communication work, closely coordinate with the government and people of Vinh Hao commune, provide transparent information on the environmental protection of the Factory, and organize community activities such as cleaning, planting trees, and improving local landscape.
The factory director emphasized that in the coming time, all officers and employees need to strictly comply with environmental protection regulations, not to have any incidents or violations during the production process; at the same time, continue to research and propose advanced technical solutions, towards the goal of operating the factory safely, stably, green - clean - sustainable.
