On June 10, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province said that the locality had completed the removal of 2,213 temporary and dilapidated houses for people in 7/7 districts and cities (as of the end of May 2025) - finishing 1 month earlier than the province's plan and 5 months earlier than the Central Government's request.
According to the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province, this is an outstanding result of the 9-day and night campaign in response to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", launched from April 1 to June 30, 2025. With the determination of the entire political system, the campaign has been divided into 3 implementation phases in each locality and achieved comprehensive results ahead of schedule.
Mr. Tran Quoc Nam - Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee - said that the whole province has supported the construction and repair of more than 2,000 houses for poor, near-poor households and people in difficult circumstances. In particular, localities such as Ninh Phuoc and Thuan Bac districts have exceeded the assigned schedule.
In Ninh Phuoc district, there are 126 houses supported - including 63 newly built houses and 63 repaired houses - with a total cost of more than 13 billion VND. Of which, the state budget supports more than 6.9 billion VND, the people contribute more than 3.7 billion VND, the rest is social mobilization source.
In Thuan Bac district, the locality supported the construction and repair of 507 houses (396 newly built houses, 111 repaired houses), with a total cost of more than 35 billion VND. By May 31, 100% of the houses had been handed over to the people on schedule.
The campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Ninh Thuan is divided into 3 specific phases:
Phase 1 (1.4 - 30.4): Completed in Ninh Hai district.
Phase 2 (1.5 - 30.5): Completed in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city and Ninh Son district.
Phase 3 (1.6 - 30.6): Deployed in the remaining districts including Ninh Phuoc, Bac Ai, Thuan Bac and Thuan Nam.
With the early completion of the entire program, Ninh Thuan became the 14th province in the country to complete the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses - an important step in ensuring social security, improving the lives of people, especially disadvantaged households.
