Da Nang - Heavy rain and floods caused landslides in mountainous areas, flooding in plains, affecting power supply operations.

In recent days, Da Nang city has been affected by heavy rain and floods, causing landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in plains, affecting power supply operations.

Following the direction of Da Nang Power Company, the Regional Power Management Teams have proactively worked with the Disaster Prevention Commands of localities to implement the dismissal of nearly 3,500 transformer stations (TBAs) to ensure electricity safety for the people.

In particular, the landslide in Tra My area caused the collapse and damage of nearly 15 central poles and low pressure areas; especially the Phuoc Son area, the landslide in Phuoc Hiep commune in the early afternoon of October 28 caused the collapse of a location of the 110kV Phuoc Son - Dak Mi 4B power line ( column 33. and the 22kV line connecting the grid from Hiep Duc commune to Phuoc Son commune, causing a power outage in all communes in Phuoc Son district (old) from 2:00 p.m. on October 28, 2025.

Currently, the 110kV single-track power line supplying Phuoc Son 110kV substation and the 22kV reserve line connecting to the Phuoc Son power grid are severely damaged.

Meanwhile, the traffic routes for electricity workers to access the scene of these fallen electric poles were cut off, local security forces have not allowed traffic, even passing through the hills and soil, there is a risk of further landslides that do not ensure safety for people.

In the face of continued heavy rain in Phuoc Son area and the incident of both power lines supplying the highland communes, the leaders of Da Nang Power Company sent staff from the Safety Department, Da Nang High-voltage Grid Technical and Enterprise Department to study and choose the most optimal and safest option to approach the landslide site to promptly repair the damage and restore power supply to Phuoc Son area immediately after the rain stops.

In order to soon have a plan to move human resources, materials, and equipment to the scene, Mr. Vo Anh Hung - Deputy Director of the Company has recommended that the city have a priority plan to open a traffic route to support vehicles to access the scene of the fallen pole as soon as possible to quickly overcome the damage and restore power supply to stabilize the lives of people in Phuoc Son area.

Mr. Tran Nam Hung - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City acknowledged the efforts of Da Nang Power Company and said that he will direct localities to actively support the electricity sector to promptly repair pillar 33 of the 110kV Phuoc Son - Dak Mi 4B line and the 22kV line in Phuoc Hiep commune to restore power to people in the Phuoc Son highland area as soon as possible.
