The 120 best teams were selected and entered the Confrontation Round. The ideas participating in the competition were evaluated as not only creative but also highly practical, demonstrating a deep understanding of local environmental issues.
Nurture from practical perspectives
Coming from the coastal area of Quang Binh, Le Bao Ngoc and Le Minh Anh from the Seaweed team (Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted) demonstrated their talent and creativity through the breakthrough idea of "Producing medical gloves from seaweed".
With its natural antibacterial properties and high biodegradability, seaweed is an easily exploitable resource, especially suitable for application in healthcare products.
This product not only contributes to solving the problem of plastic waste in the medical field but also provides a sustainable direction, combining environmental protection and local economic development.

Meanwhile, in the Green Lifestyle topic, Earth Signs team (Huong Tra High School, Thua Thien Hue) including two contestants Nguyen Phuoc Phuong Thao and Chau Ha Anh impressed with "Recycling cigarette butts into fertilizer and cotton for application in agriculture and industry".
This idea not only helps reduce the harmful effects of toxic waste from cigarette butts - one of the most difficult types of waste to decompose, but also utilizes them to create useful products.

The Green Warriors group, including Hoang Tra My and Ha Thi Hien Anh (students of Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Nghe An) brought a creative idea: "Globally connected smart AI trash bin system project".
The two young people shared: “This project not only aims to raise awareness of waste classification in the student community but also aims to create a technological ecosystem that supports environmental protection education.”
Solutions linked to real-world contexts
The Preliminary Round judges said that the ideas that made it to the next round were not dreamy or unrealistic, but very practical, discovering limitations to come up with feasible, creative solutions that have long-term positive impacts.
Ms. Nguyen Minh Phuong (Director of the Startup Center - VinUni University, representative of the Preliminary Round jury) highly appreciated the contestants for their ability to deeply analyze local environmental issues.
“The ideas you come up with are not only creative but also very practical, focusing on leveraging available resources to find effective solutions. This shows that the young generation has mature thinking and is ready to act for a sustainable future,” she shared.
In addition, the jury was particularly impressed with the teams' proposals for feasible solutions, closely linked to the local potential and strengths, not only aiming at protecting the environment but also providing opportunities to create livelihoods and contribute to improving the lives of the community.
Commenting on the quality of the contestants entering the Confrontation round, Dr. Le Thai Ha - Executive Director of the Fund for a Green Future, representative of the Organizing Committee of the contest - said: "The contestants have shown serious investment and thorough research on environmental issues, while quickly updating developments related to climate change in Vietnam as well as globally.
The research process was carried out methodically, the teams not only went in the right direction but also demonstrated the ability to analyze data and exploit information from reliable sources."

After two dramatic online qualifying rounds, the “Green Voice” contest is getting closer to new challenges in the Confrontation Round, held live on December 28, 2024 in Hanoi (for contestants in the Northern region) and December 29, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City (for contestants in the Southern region).
Individuals/teams will be divided into 2 groups: Vietnamese and English, based on their registered language choice. Each individual/team will compete directly with other individuals/teams in the same group, randomly arranged by the Organizing Committee.
At the end of the Confrontation Round, the 16 best individuals/teams will move on to the Ranking Round, where the most outstanding talents will gather. The competition is scheduled to be held at VinUni University on January 18 and 19, 2025, marking a glorious journey in the journey of spreading the message of green living and creativity for a sustainable future.
