The mechanical engineering sector of TKV Group has had many positive changes in operating mechanisms, production organization, manufacturing capacity, equipment repair, and material supply.

The rate of meeting the needs of production units exceeds 70%

After 5 years of implementing the TKV Mechanical Development Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2035, the mechanical sector of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (TKV) has had many positive changes in operating mechanisms, production organization, manufacturing capacity, equipment repair, material supply and human resource development.

In the period 2021-2025, TKV mechanical units continue to promote their key role in production, supplying spare parts and supplies to TKV units. The value of supplying spare parts and supplies in the industry is maintained at a high level, the rate of meeting the needs of production units reaches 76.3% of the demand by value, exceeding the Strategic target of ≥70%.

This result shows that the production capacity of mechanical units has been gradually improved, meeting the needs of materials in the Group, contributing to increasing the localization rate, reducing procurement costs, shortening supply time and improving proactiveness in equipment maintenance and repair.

The above results were achieved because TKV Group strengthened operations, implemented directions on procurement of materials in the industry, and created conditions to prioritize the use of mechanical products manufactured by units in TKV. At the same time, mechanical enterprises have focused on investing in equipment innovation, improving product quality, and expanding the list of replacement parts for coal production.

TKV Mechanical units have maintained and gradually improved the capacity to research, design, and manufacture equipment to serve underground coal mining, transportation and coal processing. As a result, in 2025, 488 equipment (underground excavators, battery electric trains, trawlers, trawlers) were supplied, meeting 42.4% of the needs of coal production units in the Group, equivalent to about 84.8% of the Strategic target (target ≥50% of demand).

The TKV Mechanical Engineering Development Strategy for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045, continues to focus resources on developing core mechanical units; strengthen linkages, effectively use resources of TKV Mechanical Units; gradually form specialized production units; Focus on developing key products and new technologies. Develop TKV Mechanical Engineering products in a modern, synchronous and highly value-added direction, meeting the production needs of the Group, and gradually expanding domestic and foreign markets.

Implementing and completing the TKV Mechanical Engineering Development Strategy for the period 2026-2030

Emphasizing the development requirements and the concern of the Party and Government for TKV, including the Mechanical Engineering sector, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Member Council, General Director of TKV Group Vu Anh Tuan requested TKV Mechanical Engineering to promote research, design, and manufacture of mechanical products and equipment serving mechanization, automation and production of the Group;

Strengthen technological innovation, equipment, application of science and technology, automation, digital transformation to increase productivity and quality of products; expand markets, strengthen cooperation and linkages at home and abroad, between mechanics, between units in TKV to manufacture and develop products, implement the policy of using materials and spare parts in the industry. Focus on building human resources, training and retraining, ensuring labor to meet production needs.

General Director of the Group Vu Anh Tuan assigned the Group's professional departments to strengthen direction and support with units to implement and complete the TKV Mechanical Development Strategy for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045, and promote mechanical development to meet TKV's production.

Deputy General Director of the Group Nguyen Van Tuan requested TKV Mechanical units to concretize the TKV Mechanical Development Strategy associated with the reality of the unit; develop action programs, implement them to ensure goals and requirements; promote strengths, improve capacity, create breakthroughs in technology and digital transformation; develop key mechanical products to serve the mining and processing of coal, minerals, electricity, chemicals and other production fields of TKV; especially for equipment with high demand, reduce dependence on imports; improve the localization rate.

At the same time, promote the development of mechanical products associated with mechanization, automation, digital transformation, smart production and green economy; strengthen product standardization and production specialization between TKV Mechanical units, forming a value chain from research, design, manufacturing, repair to technical service provision, improving competitiveness and sustainable development of TKV mechanical engineering.
