Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV), with the efforts and determination of the specialized departments and units, has completed the production and business plan for May 2025.
Regarding coal production in May 2025, clean coal production reached 3.6 million tons, equal to 100% of the plan; accumulated in the first 5 months of 2025 is estimated to reach 17.7 million tons and equal to 105% over the same period.
Raw coal production reached 3.38 million tons, equal to 103.8% of the plan; the accumulated amount in the first 5 months of the year is estimated at 17.65 million tons, equal to 102.8% over the same period.
The total revenue of the whole Group in May was estimated at 16.34 trillion dong, equaling 100.8% of the monthly plan. Accumulated revenue in the first 5 months of the year was estimated at 77.88 trillion dong. Submitting the state budget in May was estimated at VND 2.7 trillion; Accumulated in the first 5 months of the year is estimated at 12.3 trillion dong.
In the first 5 months of 2025, the Group's main production and business targets all grew compared to the same period in 2024: revenue increased by 4%, profit increased by 12%, and State budget contributions increased by 7%.
Entering June 2025, it is expected that the storm situation will increase, which may affect the Group's production and business activities, especially coal and mineral mining units; heavy rain in the month will reduce coal demand for electricity production.
To successfully complete the production and business tasks in June and strive to achieve the growth target of over 8% in 2025 according to the direction of the Government, TKV and its units will focus on implementing the work of preventing storms and floods, continuing to maintain production rhythm, maximizing output; ensuring production, import, processing and blending, meeting coal for the market and coal for electricity production.
TKV implements the production and business plan for June and the first 6 months of 2025 with a number of key targets: Raw coal production is 3.12 million tons; accumulated in the first 6 months of the year is expected to reach 20.84 million tons.
Clean coal production is a total of 3.42 million tons; in the first 6 months of the year, it is expected to reach 21.1 million tons. Coal consumption is expected to be 5.04 million tons, accumulated in the first 6 months of the year, expected consumption is 27.29 million tons. Peeling 23.92 thousand meters of kilns; expected to reach 137.8 thousand meters in 6 months. Excavation of 13 million m3 of rock and soil; expected to reach 83 million m3 in the first 6 months of the year.
Expected production of 125,000 tons of Alumina; accumulated in the first 6 months of the year reached 750 thousand tons; consumption of 119,000 tons, accumulated in the first 6 months of the year is expected to reach 708 thousand tons.
Power production and consumption plan of 6.2025 reached 1.02 billion kWh; The first 6 months of the year is expected to produce 5.91 billion kWh electricity. At the same time, explosive production reached 6.4 thousand tons; In the first 6 months of the year reached 41.2 thousand tons. Supply 9.2 thousand tons of explosives; The first 6 months of the year is expected to supply 57.1 thousand tons.
The consolidated revenue of the whole Group in June is expected to reach 16.69 trillion VND; the accumulated revenue in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at 94.57 trillion VND.
To complete the targets set for June and the second quarter of 2025, TKV said it will resolutely boost production, focus on human resources and equipment to maximize coal output, strengthen strict management of technical and technological targets, focus on implementing storm prevention, labor safety, and environment, and ensuring safety in production.
