On June 3, in Hanoi, Van Phu Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company and the Research & Architecture Design Institute of Zhejiang University (UAD) officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The event marked an important step forward in Van Phu's strategy to improve the quality of planning, design and urban development, and at the same time demonstrated the determination to create sustainable, unique and human-centered projects in the new development stage of the Vietnamese real estate market.
Joining hands with leading Asian design partners to improve urban development quality
According to the cooperation agreement, UAD will accompany Van Phu from investment consulting, connecting leading Chinese partners in investment in trade, tourism, and entertainment models to specialized fields such as project development orientation research, urban planning, architectural design, application of new technologies in construction and transfer of advanced urban development solutions.
This is not only a professional cooperation agreement but also a strategic step to improve product quality, approach advanced planning thinking and standardize project development activities according to international standards.
Established in 1953, UAD is one of the first A-class architectural design institutes in China and is currently in the group of leading planning and architectural consulting units in Asia. After more than 70 years of development, UAD possesses comprehensive capabilities from urban planning, architecture, technical infrastructure, landscape to heritage conservation and project management consulting.
In particular, UAD owns many of the highest-level certificates in the fields of architecture, urban planning, transport infrastructure, landscape and green buildings. The Institute is also an organization that evaluates near-zero energy consumption buildings (Near-Zero Energy Building) - a development trend being pursued by many countries towards the goal of green cities and sustainable development.
The prestige of UAD is affirmed through a network of cooperation with many leading world names such as SOM, KPF, Gensler, NBBJ, Herzog & de Meuron, Kengo Kuma, MVRDV or Foster + Partners, and the implementation of projects in many countries such as Indonesia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Israel and Vietnam.
The selection of UAD shows that Van Phu's orientation is not only limited to project development, but also towards learning from international experience and advanced urban models to create long-term values for customers and the community.
Seizing development opportunities with long-term planning thinking
The cooperation agreement was signed in the context of Vietnam entering a new stage of development with many strong growth drivers. The private economic sector is increasingly affirmed as an important driving force of the economy, while public investment continues to be promoted into strategic infrastructure projects such as expressways, airports, ring roads, urban railways and smart city development projects.
These changes open up great development potential for the real estate market, while also posing higher requirements for planning quality, implementation capacity and long-term development vision of businesses.
With more than 23 years of experience, Van Phu is currently one of the real estate developers with a diverse portfolio nationwide, from urban areas, housing, hotels, resort real estate to technical infrastructure, social infrastructure and large-scale projects.
In the context of the market shifting from competition in scale to competition in quality and life value, cooperation with experienced international partners such as UAD is considered a necessary preparation step to improve planning research capacity, design optimization and application of new technologies in the project development process.
Representative Van Phu said: "We want to create projects that not only meet current needs but also have the ability to adapt to the future, contributing to improving the quality of life and creating sustainable value for the community. The companionship of UAD will help businesses access advanced planning thinking, thereby improving the quality of projects in the coming time.
Realizing the philosophy of "human life" with different living spaces
In the long-term development strategy, Van Phu identifies three key orientations including improving product quality, promoting sustainable development and innovating urban development thinking. The enterprise constantly optimizes the entire value chain from planning, design, construction to operation to create quality living spaces, harmonizing modern amenities, green environment and cultural identity.

This is also the way businesses realize the "human life" development philosophy - the foundation throughout all activities of Van Phu over the years. According to this philosophy, all investment, planning and design decisions are aimed at the ultimate goal of serving people, improving the quality of life and building sustainable communities.
Therefore, cooperation with UAD is not only aimed at supplementing international consulting capacity, but also helps Van Phu access advanced urban models in the world to create more different, more humane and longer-lasting value products.
In the context of urbanization entering a high-quality development stage, strategic cooperations such as between Van Phu and UAD are expected to contribute to forming new standards for the Vietnamese real estate market. Not only expanding its operations, Van Phu is gradually affirming its role as a real estate developer creating sustainable value, contributing to the process of building modern, unique cities and putting people at the center for future generations.
