Trade unions must improve collective resolution capacity, dialogue at the workplace, and prevent disputes early, from the grassroots level. This is a very close orientation to the current reality of labor relations.
In my opinion, the role of the Trade Union organization is not only limited to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers when disputes occur, but more importantly, proactively grasping the situation from the grassroots level, becoming a reliable bridge between workers and employers. When workers' voices are heard, recommendations on salaries, working conditions, housing, welfare or the working environment are resolved early, the risk of collective disputes will be significantly reduced.
This is even more meaningful for Tien Lang commune in the coming period when the locality is being planned and forming many new industrial zones and clusters, expected to attract tens of thousands of workers inside and outside the locality to work. As the workforce increases rapidly, labor relations will become more diverse and complex, requiring the Trade Union organization to improve its capacity to dialogue, negotiate and solve problems arising right from the grassroots level.
Accepting the directing opinions of General Secretary and President To Lam, in the coming time, Tien Lang Commune Trade Union will proactively coordinate with businesses in the area to maintain periodic dialogues, firmly grasp the labor situation, employment, salaries, bonuses and welfare regimes to promptly resolve workers' recommendations. The Commune Trade Union will also strengthen contact and direct dialogue with workers at businesses, especially units with many workers, thereby detecting early arising problems, not allowing prolonged grievances to lead to collective work stoppages. From there, contributing to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, creating a solid foundation for the development of businesses and localities in the coming time.
