In the trading session last week (morning of June 8, 2025), the price of 999 taels (1kg) at Phu Quy Jewelry Group was listed at 35.813 - 36.933 million VND/kg (buy - sell).

Thus, if buying 999 taels of silver (1kg) at Phu Quy Jewelry Group on June 8 and selling it this morning (6, 15), buyers will make a profit of up to 2.586 million VND/kg.

World silver price

On the world market, as of 9:45 a.m. on June 15 (Vietnam time), the world silver price was listed at 36.26 USD/ounce; unchanged from early this morning.

Causes and predictions

Despite the increase compared to last week, silver prices are under strong selling pressure, despite the increasing tensions in the Middle East.

In theory, geopolitical tensions will boost demand for safe-haven assets such as silver. However, instability related to US tariff policies also caused the USD to depreciate.

The White House said on Wednesday that it is preparing to send a final trade deal, including tariffs, to partners that the US has not yet received a proposal for or has not yet negotiated goodwill.

Technically, the decline in the US dollar makes silver an attractive investment option, said Sagar Dua, a financial analyst.

"US$40.00 an ounce will be a key resistance level for silver. If prices decrease, the highest level on October 22, 2024 at 34.87 USD will be the main support level" - Sagar Dua expressed his opinion.
