Compared to the same time a month earlier, domestic gold bar prices have narrowed the price decrease gap, fluctuating in the range of 13-13.5 million VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.
At some gold shops on Cau Giay street (Hanoi), the number of customers coming to transact is differentiated between times. However, the demand for buying gold is still maintained stably, no longer the scene of people jostling and queuing for many hours as before.
According to an announcement from a gold business store on Cau Giay street, each customer is allowed to buy directly up to 1 tael of gold and will only receive a single sample.
Sitting waiting for her turn at the automatic payment area, Ms. Ngo Mai Phuong (Tay Ho ward, Hanoi) said: "In recent days, the store has reopened the waiting area at this expanded branch. Previously, customers were often directed to the main store. Customers take the number on the automatic machine, receive invoices and then go to the main store to receive gold".
According to Ms. Phuong, crowd psychology makes many people tend to buy gold when prices increase, while when prices decrease, the number of customers coming to trade is less. "Buying in cash is only under 1 tael of plain round gold rings, so my daughter and I sit and wait at the automatic transaction counter to pay by bank transfer. I only save a part of my idle money to buy and accumulate little by little" - Ms. Phuong said.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Truong Vu (My Dinh ward, Hanoi), who only bought less than 1 tael of plain round gold rings in this transaction, shared: "Gold prices are still fluctuating, so I don't buy a lot at the same time. This is simply a way to save money, helping myself limit unnecessary spending.
According to Mr. Vu, buying gold is not for the purpose of surfing or taking profits from price differences, but is a form of accumulation for long-term goals.
At the end of last year, I bought a new motorbike worth nearly 90 million VND, completely equal to the money earned from gold accumulated before" - Mr. Vu said.
Reporters' records at some other gold shops show that the number of customers is not too large, and transactions take place quite smoothly. Ms. Do Quynh Mai (Cau Giay ward, Hanoi) said: "I am a regular customer here, so when I have a need, I will come to buy. This morning, at the time of transaction, there were only me and another customer, so all procedures took place quickly.

Bao Tin Minh Chau listed SJC gold bar prices at 148 - 150.5 million VND/tael (buying - selling), simultaneously increasing from 3.5-4 million VND/tael.
At the same time as the survey, SJC plain round gold ring prices tended to move sideways, listed at the threshold of 147.9 - 150.4 million VND/tael (buying - selling), an increase of 4 million VND/tael on the buying side and 3.5 million VND/tael on the selling side.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings equal to the price of brand gold bars, currently at 148 - 150.5 million VND/tael (buying - selling).
On the world market, as of 11:51 AM on June 15 (Vietnam time), world gold prices maintained an upward trend for 4 consecutive days, listed around the threshold of 4,326.9 USD/ounce, up 100.3 USD.
