The largest complex with a station connecting to HCMC Metro
Binh Duong province is carefully preparing for the conference to announce the Binh Duong Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, taking place on July 26.
Mr. Vo Anh Tuan - Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee - said that the event to announce the provincial planning was associated with the granting of investment certificates and the groundbreaking of many large projects, including the Cultural, Commercial and Service Area project - A1 central station.
This project was approved for detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 (master plan) from November 2018. Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee assigned Becamex IDC as the investor.
The project is located at A1 roundabout in the new urban area, Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city. The project is built to accommodate about 14,700 guests and 1,630 employees.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, this is a multi-functional complex including culture, trade services, and a modern central station. The approved area is 7.1 hectares.
According to the record, the planned land is located in the center of the new urban area, surrounded by Chu Van An Street (also known as VX2 Street) with a width of 34m. Surrounding the land is the headquarters of Binh Duong Provincial Administrative Center, agencies, enterprises, foreign business associations in Binh Duong...
VX2 Road is the convergence point of the routes, including the main urban axis, Hung Vuong Street, 83.5m2 wide. At the same time, when implementing phase 2, this is the location of the main transit train station to other localities (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro line). The project also designs a parking lot with a capacity of about 800 cars.
Mr. Giang Quoc Dung - Deputy General Director of Becamex said that to implement the project, the contractor has started mass pile construction. Besides, the unit has also promoted and cooperated with developed countries and large corporations in the world.
Groundbreaking ceremony of 700ha Industrial Park
Notably, on the occasion of the planning announcement, Binh Duong province will also organize a groundbreaking ceremony and launch the key project, Cay Truong Industrial Park, Bau Bang district.
This is a project that has been expected in Binh Duong in recent years, aiming to continue creating a clean land to attract domestic and foreign investors to invest in building factories. In addition, creating infrastructure to welcome factories moving south of Binh Duong.
According to the approved project, Cay Truong Industrial Park has a planned area of about 700 hectares, with a workforce of about 35,000 people.
Cay Truong Industrial Park is identified as a concentrated, multi-industry industrial park with various types of industries attracting investment projects with industries following the socio-economic development orientation of the province.
In recent months, Binh Duong province leaders have continuously held meetings with departments and branches to resolve difficulties in compensation and site clearance for the construction of Cay Truong Industrial Park.
According to records, up to now, hundreds of hectares of vacant land on flat terrain have been prepared for the construction of Cay Truong Industrial Park.
Notably, the traffic infrastructure connecting this industrial park with Binh Duong's main traffic route has been invested. A 10-lane road running through Cay Truong Industrial Park has also been invested. This road connects Cay Truong Industrial Park with Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion, Bau Bang Industrial Park and My Phuoc Tan Van road.
Striving to become a centrally governed city
Mr. Vo Anh Tuan - Chief of Office of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that the planning of Binh Duong province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was officially approved by the Prime Minister on August 5, 2024. According to the decision approved by the Prime Minister, the general goal by 2030, Binh Duong will become a city directly under the Central Government.
Mr. Pham Trong Nhan - Director of Binh Duong Department of Planning and Investment said that this is a long-term and challenging goal, the province sets a threshold to go ahead and strive to implement.
In the coming time, Binh Duong will carry out 37 tasks. The Department will advise a detailed plan for the province to carry out each task in detail to achieve the above goals.
Binh Duong province will invest more in transportation, social, educational and other welfare infrastructure to improve people's lives.
