In recent days, the small house in Kinh Trong hamlet, Giong Trom commune, Vinh Long province, which is being built with state support, the atmosphere has become heavy when Mr. Vo Minh Tam (born in 1993) had a traffic accident, and his family, which was originally poor, fell into heavy difficulties, making anyone who witnessed it feel heartbroken.
At the Emergency Resuscitation Room of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital (Vinh Long), the atmosphere was heavy when Mr. Vo Minh Tam fell into a deep coma after a serious traffic accident on the way home.
Beside the hospital bed, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Trinh, Mr. Tam's wife, choked up and said that her family was originally a poor household, living by hired coconut harvesting, now her husband had an accident, causing everything to almost collapse completely.
Ms. Trinh said that since April 30, her husband had an accident, she has been on duty at the hospital to take care of and take care of her three young children, while she herself also suffers from heart disease and epilepsy, her health is very weak.
Before the accident, Mr. Tam was the main breadwinner in the family, going to pick coconuts for hire every day to earn a living, with a meager income but still trying to support his wife and children and cover daily living expenses.
The unexpected accident caused Mr. Tam to suffer severe traumatic brain injury, currently in a deep coma, doctors are closely monitoring him, but the treatment prognosis is still very difficult and costly.
Mr. Tam's family belongs to a poor household, without production land, life is precarious all year round, and income depends only on the meager days of hired work of the couple.
Currently, three children including Kim Ngan, Kim Ngoc and Ngoc Kieu Van are of school age but are at risk of having to drop out halfway because the family no longer has the ability. "Looking at the young children, they may have to drop out halfway, while my husband is in the hospital, I don't know how to manage to get through the day," Ms. Trinh added.

Ms. Nguyen Thi An - Vice Chairwoman of the Red Cross Society of Giong Trom commune - said that Mr. Vo Minh Tam's family was once supported by the State with 60 million VND to build a solid house, but so far the project is still under construction when Mr. Tam had a traffic accident.
According to Ms. An, the locality has grasped the information and is coordinating to mobilize social resources to promptly support and help the family overcome the current difficult period soon.
Ms. An emphasized that Mr. Tam is the main breadwinner in the family but unfortunately suffered a serious traffic accident, and is currently being actively treated at the hospital in very serious condition, in particularly difficult circumstances, requiring the joint efforts of the community and philanthropists at home and abroad.
Currently, the family is both taking care of the treatment costs for Mr. Tam and facing many livelihood pressures, while the wife is in poor health and the children are still young.
According to Ms. An, timely support from the community will be an important support to help the family overcome immediate difficulties, and at the same time open up hope so that their children can continue to go to school, without interrupting their studies.
