The tournament is a practical activity to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam National Coal Corporation (now Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group) October 10, 1994 - October 10, 2024; and the Traditional Day of Mining Workers - Tradition of the Coal Industry November 12, 1963 - November 12, 2024.
This year's tournament has 393 male and female players from 9 men's football teams and 14 women's football teams from agencies, corporations and 17 member units, subsidiaries and units under the Corporation. The teams are divided into groups to compete in a round-robin, with the teams with the highest scores competing cross-wise to find the team with the best results to enter the final.
Women's football matches take place at Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company Stadium (Ha Lam Ward, Ha Long City), while men's football matches take place at Cua Ong Stadium.
The final and closing matches of the men's and women's football tournaments will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29 at Cua Ong Stadium and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30 at Ha Lam Coal Joint Stock Company Stadium, respectively.
The tournament is a traditional, major sporting event of TKV, and at the same time an opportunity to train and improve the health of employees of the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group; promote the football training movement; build a healthy, united, responsible environment, create an exciting and joyful atmosphere in production and labor, contributing to the completion of the plans of each member unit and the whole Group.
