Police officers have the right to fine up to 5 million VND in fire prevention and fighting

Article 15 of Decree 69/2026/ND-CP (effective from April 20, 2026) amends and supplements Clause 1, of Article 31 of Decree No. 106/2025/ND-CP stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of fire prevention, fighting and rescue as follows:

1. People's Police soldiers on duty have the right to:

a) Warning;

b) A fine of up to 5 million VND;

c) Confiscation of exhibits of administrative violations with a value not exceeding 02 times the fine level specified in point b of this clause.

Thus, from April 20, 2026, People's Police officers on duty have the right to impose fines of up to 5 million VND in the field of fire prevention and fighting.
