How are secondary school teachers ranked in salary from April 2026?

Article 8, Circular 31/2026/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training Regulating codes, appointments and salary rankings for teachers in public educational institutions (effective from April 14, 2026), stipulates the appointment of titles and salary rankings for secondary school teachers as follows:

1. Public employees appointed to the title of secondary school teacher specified in Clause 3, Article 2 of this Circular shall apply the corresponding salary scale issued together with Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP, specifically as follows:

a) Grade III - Code V.07. 04. 32, the salary coefficient of civil servants type A1 is applied from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;

b) Grade II - Code V.07. 04. 31, applies the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group A2. 2 from salary coefficient 4.00 to salary coefficient 6.38;

c) Grade I - Code V.07. 04. 30, the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group A2. 1 is applied from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78.

2. Public employees who have been appointed to professional titles of secondary school teachers according to the regulations of the Minister of Education and Training are appointed to corresponding titles according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 2 of this Circular as follows:

a) Appointment of grade III - Code V.07. 04. 32 for secondary school teachers grade III - Code V.07. 04. 32 and the salary coefficient of civil servants type A1 is applied from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;

b) Appointment of grade II - Code V.07. 04. 31 for secondary school teachers grade II - Code V.07. 04. 31 and is applied the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group A2. 2 from salary coefficient 4.00 to salary coefficient 6.38;

c) Appointment of grade I - Code V.07. 04. 30 for secondary school teachers grade I - Code V.07. 04. 30 and the salary coefficient of civil servants type A2, group A2. 1 is applied from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78.

Thus, from April 14, 2026, the salary ranking for secondary school teachers is regulated as above.
