Clause 1, Article 42 of Decree 37/2026/ND-CP detailing a number of articles and measures to organize and guide the implementation of the Law on Product and Goods Quality (effective from January 23, 2026) stipulates that the goods labels of goods circulating in Vietnam must necessarily show the following contents in Vietnamese:
a) Name of goods;
b) Name and address of the organization or individual responsible for the goods;
c) Origin of goods;
d) Other mandatory contents that must be shown on labels according to the nature of each type of goods specified in Appendix I issued together with this Decree and relevant legal regulations.
In case goods are of nature belonging to many groups specified in Appendix I issued together with this Decree and have not been specified in other relevant legal documents, organizations and individuals responsible for goods shall, based on the main uses of goods, self-determine the group of goods to record the contents specified in this point.
Thus, from January 23, 2026, the labels of goods circulating in Vietnam are required to show the above contents in Vietnamese.
