Article 6 of Circular 31/2026/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stipulates the tracing of origin of products and goods under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the requirements for tracing the origin of products and goods as follows:
1. When carrying out declaration of traceability of products and goods circulating domestically, traders are responsible for declaring at least the following information:
a) Name of product, goods;
b) Origin of products and goods;
c) Images of products and goods;
d) Name of production and business unit;
d) Address of production and business unit;
e) Source traceability code (if any);
g) Key tracking events and event timing in the supply chain according to national standard TCVN 12850 or GS1 Global Traceability Standard (GS1 Global Traceability Standard);
h) Brand, trademark, batch/batch number or serial number of product, goods (noted);
i) Expiration date of products and goods (if any);
k) National standards, national technical regulations, international standards, regional standards, and basic standards are applied.
2. For imported goods, in addition to the information specified in Clause 1 of this Article, traders must declare the following additional information:
a) Name, address, tax code of the importing unit;
b) Information about the official distributor in Vietnam (if any).
3. Products and goods declared for tracing on the Internal Traceability System of traders and/or updated information on the Traceability System of goods of the Ministry of Industry and Trade before being put into circulation in the market.
4. The tracing of the origin of products and goods is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Clause 2, Article 18 of this Circular.
Thus, from July 2026, the traceability of products and goods needs to meet the above requirements.
