Market Management Team No. 18 has implemented tasks according to Plan No. 668/KH-CCQLTT dated March 19, 2026 on combating smuggling, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, goods infringing on intellectual property rights in 2026; Plan No. 1135/KH-CCQLTT dated April 29, 2026 on deploying post-inspection of food safety in 2026 of the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Sub-Department, along with directives from leaders at all levels on ensuring food safety.
In the process of implementation, Market Management Team No. 18 strengthens grasping the local situation, inspecting food business establishments to promptly detect and strictly handle violations related to goods of unknown origin, and goods that do not ensure food safety circulating on the market.

Through inspection, the unit handled 5 cases, seized 865 kg of food of unknown origin including frozen meat and dried food, with a total value of goods of 73,875,000 VND; administrative violations were fined a total of 78,000,000 VND. At the same time, all violating goods were forced to be destroyed.
Previously, Market Management Team No. 12 under the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Sub-Department coordinated with Team 6 - Police Department for Investigation of Corruption, Economic Crimes, Smuggling, Environment (Ho Chi Minh City Police) and Binh Loi Trung Ward Police to inspect 2 locations for storing and trading shoes and clothes in An Hoi Dong and Binh Loi Trung wards.

Through inspection, functional forces discovered 2 business locations displaying 439 products including shoes, sandals, and clothes of all kinds with signs of counterfeiting Nike and Adidas brands being protected in Vietnam. The total value of goods at listed prices is 251,020,000 VND.
At the time of inspection, the facility owner could not present invoices and documents proving the legal origin of all the above goods.
Market Management Team No. 12 made a record and temporarily seized all exhibits to continue verifying and handling according to legal regulations.
