In 2025, the Diplomatic Academy will consider admission based on high school academic results (academic transcript) and international certificates. The Academy admits candidates with an average score of 8 or higher for all semesters of grades 10, 11, and 12 and an IELTS certificate of 6.0 or higher.
The school combines the international foreign language certificate with the academic transcript score for Math and the remaining subjects in the combination of non-Foreign language subjects.
In the admission method based on high school academic results combined with interviews, Hanoi University of Science and Technology specifically stipulates as follows:
Candidates with an average score of 3 out of 6 subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, IT, English for the entire 11th and 12th grade school year, suitable for one of the admission subject combinations of the training program, will reach 8.80/10 or higher.
In particular, in pharmacy, in addition to the above average score, candidates need to have an IELTS English certificate from 5.0 or TOEFL iBT from 35 points or higher.
Hanoi University of Industry also included the second method of admission for candidates who won the provincial/city excellent student award, candidates with international certificates combined with high school academic results in the regular university admission announcement in 2025.
One of the conditions for admission is that the average score for the entire year of grades 10, 11, and 12 of each subject in the admission combination is from 7.0 points or more.
In addition, candidates need to have one of the following international certificates: SAT ≥ 1000; IELTS Academic England certificate ≥ 5.5, TOEFL iBT ≥ 50; Korean TOPIK certificate level 3 or higher; Chinese HSK certificate level 3 or higher; Japanese language certificate JLPT level N4 or higher (Certificate still valid as of the date of admission).
In particular, candidates admitted to the Chinese Language training program code (2+2 training program linkage program with UBTS - China) need to have one of the following international certificates: SAT ≥ 1000; IELTS Academic English certificate ≥ 5.5, TOEFL iBT ≥ 50; Korean TOPIK certificate level 4 or higher; Chinese HSK certificate level 4 or higher; Japanese JLPT certificate level N3 or higher.
Note, the certificate is still valid until the end of the registration period according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Notably, Thai Nguyen University only requires the 6-year admission method when candidates pass the provincial/city-level excellent student selection exam in high school cultural subjects or have an international certificate and are recognized as having graduated from high school in 2025 or equivalent.
