In 2025, the school's combined admission method will account for 97%. This method applies to all 2025 enrollment codes, including the following subjects:
Candidates with an IELTS international English certificate from 5.5 or TOEFL iBT from 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160 &W 150) or higher combined with one of the competency assessment test scores such as HSA/APT/TSA.
Candidates with an IELTS international English certificate from 5.5 or TOEFL iBT from 46 or TOEIC (4 skills: L&R 785, S 160 &W 150) or higher combined with the 2025 high school graduation exam score of Mathematics and 1 other English subject in the University's admission combinations.
Note, IELTS/TOEFL iBT/TOEIC international English certificates are issued by international organizations from June 1, 2023 to the end of the application for admission to a regular university in 2025.

2. Foreign Trade University
For advanced, high-quality programs, career orientation and international development, taught in English: Have an international English certificate for a period of time (as of the date of application submission) with IELTS (Academic) of 6.5 or higher or TOEFL iBT of 79 or higher (not accepted for TOEFL iBT home Edition) or have a Cambridge certificate from the University of Cambridge English language test Council with 180 or higher points.
For high-quality programs in Chinese, Japanese, and commercial French: With an HSK 4 international language certificate from a score of 280/300 points or higher, JLPT N3 with a score of 130/180 or higher, with a DELF B2 or higher equivalent.
The above international language certificates are combined with high school academic results according to the school's admission subject combinations.
3. University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi
For the international English certificate admission method combined with the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, candidates using an IELTS certificate of 5.5 or higher or TOEFL iBT of 72 or higher.
International English certificates are converted to score as follows:
4. University of Foreign Languages - Vietnam National University, Hanoi
Admission conditions for the University of Foreign Languages - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, candidates with an English certificate equivalent to a minimum of level 4 under the 6-level Foreign Language proficiency framework for Vietnam include the following certificates: VSTEP 6.0; IELTS 5.5; TOEFL iBT 72 is valid for 2 years.
Note, candidates who do not have a foreign language certificate as required will be admitted to the English course to enhance the English reserve program and will be transferred to specialized training when meeting the above English requirements.
For the admission method combining the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam with an international certificate, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Graduate from high school in 2025 or take the 2025 high school graduation exam;
- Have one of the following foreign language certificates:
Note, foreign language certificates must have 4 skills, except for other international foreign language certificates in English with 3 recognized skills: TOPIK (Korean), JLPT (Japanese), TCSP (French); the minimum score for each skill is 5 points (on a scale of 10).
For the English and English Language Pedagogy major, the minimum score for each skill of the VSTEP certificate is 6 points (on a scale of 10). The University of Foreign Languages, VNU-NHHN does not consider foreign language certificates for online exams.
The certificate must be valid for 2 years from the date of taking the exam to the date of submitting the application.
