Teacher goes to B - memories of the most brilliant years of youth
Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a meeting to express gratitude to 80 teachers representing more than 3,000 "teachers going to B" - those who volunteered to leave the North and go to the South during the resistance war against the US. Since the early 1960s, responding to the call of the Party and the State, thousands of teachers and pedagogical students have written volunteer petitions, bringing their youth and knowledge to both participate in the resistance war and carry out the teaching mission in arduous and dangerous conditions.

In the memories of many teachers, their youth are a journey that is both proud and full of sacrifice. They left their families, accepted hardship, traveled for months through Truong Son, carried heavy backpacks, ate rice, slept in the forest, faced bombs and bullets and were at risk of being imprisoned. Many teachers, when arrested and tortured by the enemy, are still indomitable, even continuing to teach in prison, showing an indomitable spirit and a desire to sow knowledge.
Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong affirmed that "teacher goes to school B" is a brilliant symbol of intelligence, courage and love for the Fatherland. He hopes that today's generation of teachers will continue their tradition, be ready to take on difficult tasks, innovate, uphold ethics and inspire students. The Ministry of Education and Training will continue to review and compare records to ensure accurate and worthy honor for teachers who have devoted their entire youth to the country. See more...
