35. Academy of Journalism and Propaganda
The Academy of Journalism and Propaganda has just announced the expected enrollment information for 2026.
Specifically, the school still divides training majors into four groups. Group 1 includes journalism and publishing; group 2 is theoretical, group 3 is History, and group 4 includes majors in communication, advertising, and international relations. The total target is 2,150.
The Academy enrolls students by three methods.
One is direct admission and priority admission. Depending on the major group, the school directly admits candidates who won first, second, and third prizes in the subjects of Literature, English, Mathematics, History, Geography. If the direct admission right is not used, candidates are prioritized for admission to majors suitable for the subject or science and technology project that won prizes.
With combined admission, candidates can use the average 6-period transcript score of two subjects combined with an IELTS or SAT English certificate (international standardized test).
If registering for History major in group 3, candidates will use scores in Literature and History; the remaining groups will use Literature and Mathematics.
The admission score is calculated on a scale of 40, which is the total certificate score converted to a scale of 10 (coefficient 2) and the total transcript score of the two subjects, plus priority points if any. The school notes that candidates submitting applications according to this method must have IELTS at least 6.5, SAT 1,200/1,600.
With the form of considering high school graduation exam scores, the score is a total of three subjects, depending on the major, the coefficient will be multiplied by the main subject (possibly Literature, History or English).
The school allows candidates to convert IELTS certificate scores to replace the English subject in the combination. If there is SAT, candidates are given an encouragement bonus of 0.2-0.6 points to the total admission score.
Accordingly, in 2026, the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda will abolish the high school transcript-based admission method.
