Miss Grand Vietnam just went through the Grand Fashion Award - Fashion Beauty night, within the framework of the 15th Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest (VBFF).
This year, with the theme Love Your Skin, director Hoang Nhat Nam shared about the idea: "I choose the harshest moments of nature, when the land is sunny, dry, cracked, and trees wither. Those are like difficult periods in each person's life. And after those moments will be a revival".
The next idea came from the image of Vietnamese villages nurtured from everyday memories. The director is always concerned about the image of farmers drying rice in the yard. From there, he created a rice background setting that creates even ripples seen from above.
The veins bring images of a Zen garden, both peaceful and rich in shaping. Director Hoang Nhat Nam brought into the performance space dry tree trunks, withered leaves and thatch grass that has turned yellow-brown.
That is the way to recreate the time when nature seems most harsh, but it is also the moment of preparing for a new life cycle.
To realize the idea, the crew could not find materials in the usual way. They had to divide into many groups to find each type of material with very strict requirements on color, quality and quantity.
Meanwhile, nearly 4 tons of rice were purchased directly from a rice granary in Tien Giang, transported to Ho Chi Minh City. The entire nearly 4 tons of rice were covered the stage floor.
Under the stage light, the yellow color of rice blends with the deep colors of thatch grass, dry trees and the ground, creating a space that is both rustic and artistic.

The director said he does not want the audience to only see a beautiful stage but also feel the "soul of the countryside" of Vietnam in every detail.
Everything is very'Made in Vietnam', very simple, with a country soul. I feel happy to choose such materials to tell stories through fashion," he said.
However, unlike ordinary stage materials, nearly 4 tons of real rice can germinate if it rains and is not treated in time. However, the rain brought an unexpected result.
Right at the end of the program, when it rained lightly, the light reflected on the layer of golden rice created a special visual effect, while the models still walked amidst the thin rain.

Director Hoang Nhat Nam added that it is like a gift that nature gives to the program. "I think it's fate. Rains are like a signal to say that drought and aridity have passed. The land is watered, grass and trees will continue to blossom and bear fruit. It makes the story of the stage more complete".
All the rice after the show night will be transferred to specialized units for recycling into animal feed and organic fertilizer.
This is the way the organizers continue the life cycle of rice grains, while minimizing the generation of waste after the event.
Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest Season 15 gathers the largest number of performances ever with more than 50 beauty queens, runners-up, male kings, runners-up and 30 Miss Grand Vietnam 2026 contestants.
