ADOR has made an official announcement regarding the news that NewJeans has sent a letter warning that they will terminate the exclusive contract if their demands are not met.
“As we have not received any official notification from NewJeans, we have no response regarding the undelivered certified application,” a representative from ADOR told JoyNews24.
Previously, Yonhap News reported that NewJeans sent an official notice to ADOR with the names of all five members on November 13.
In the notice, NewJeans requested that "all material breaches of the exclusive contract be remedied within 14 days of receipt of this letter." The detailed demands have not been disclosed.
NewJeans is said to have further stated that if ADOR does not meet these demands, they will terminate the exclusivity contract.
NewJeans is a South Korean girl group formed and managed by ADOR. The group consists of five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. The group released their debut single "Attention" on July 22, 2022 before their official debut, releasing an EP of the same name on August 1, 2022.
