The film week commemorates the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam and celebrates the 14th National Party Congress taking place from January 17-23 in Bac Ninh.
The film program screened during the Film Week in Bac Ninh includes feature films: Thanh Am Vuot Dai Duong, Tu Chien Tren Ai, Dia Dao - Mat Troi trong ban muc; documentary films: Nguoi Truong Hon Di Hien, Viet Nam Communist Party - for the Vietnamese nation: New Thinking, Breakthrough Ways of Doing, animated films: Trang Quynh Nhi: Legend of the Taurus, Cricket: The Adventure to the Swampy Neighborhood, Au Co - Lac Long Quan, Story of Mr. Giong, Bach Dang Flows Waves, Buddha Hoang.
The films selected to be screened to serve the people are films that won the Golden Lotus and Silver Lotus awards at the 24th Vietnam Film Festival. The works have widespread social spread, are well received by audiences, achieve good revenue, and ensure artistic quality and ideological value.
The event is chaired by the Department of Cinema (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), in coordination with many central and socialized film units.
The film week is a cultural and film activity with profound political and social significance, affirming the great historical significance of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam - an event marking an important step in the development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
At the same time, the event aims to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress - a major political event of the country in the new development period.
Through selected cinematic works of high artistic quality, humanistic content and healthy entertainment, the Film Week contributes to spreading good cultural values, vividly reflecting social life, history and national traditions.
